Remix questions
What counts as a remix?
Remixing someone’s app, making a new version of your own app, and making a new app from scratch. Most take one remix; a bigger app or change can take more, and you see the number before it starts. Using apps, liking them, publishing and sharing are always free.
Can I build a big app?
Yes, as big as you want: a multi-screen app, a 3D game, a native phone app. A bigger build takes longer and can take more than one remix. You see the price before it starts and pay only what it really used. What Remix doesn’t host (password sign-ins, payments, a server of your own) continues in the Advanced console. A phone app can go to Google Play and the App Store from Remix itself, in your own developer accounts.
What happens when my free remixes run out?
Each remix takes $0.50 from your credit. With no credit left, we keep what you wrote and ask you to top up or wait for next month — nothing is charged.
Do unused free remixes roll over?
No. You get 2 (Free) or 100 (Pro) at the start of each month, UTC. Remixes you win in the weekly prize are separate: they stay until you use them, after your monthly ones and before your credit.
What if a remix fails?
You get it back automatically — the free remix, the prize remix or the $0.50, whichever it used.
How does the weekly prize work?
Every Monday the 3 apps with the most points that week win 10, 6 and 4 free remixes. A remix of your app scores 3 points. A like scores 1. Your own likes and remixes don’t count, and apps made by CodeAgent Mobile never win.
Is Remix credit the same as the Advanced console’s credit?
Yes — one balance. Credit you buy works for remixes and for the managed agents in the Advanced console.
How do payments work? Can I cancel?
